Income protection and critical illness cover

I arranged some Income Protection for a client who wanted to have a private extension on top of her employers sick pay. At the same time, I arranged critical illness cover for her. Just 6 months later, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and received over £100,000 immediately. The Income Protection provided over £4,000 per month, significantly more than her £88.45 per week statutory sick pay. Happily, she has since made a full recovery and is now back working full time.
